Wily Frosty Wood is one of the few own sons of Wilywood still breeding today. He has produced multiple money winning horses in barrel racing and roping. His offspring are balanced with good conformation, lots of cow, and a great disposition. Like Wily Frosty Wood, all of his progeny are very versatile and althletic; you can head, heel, calf rope, breakway rope, barrel race, and ranch on them.
Wily Frosty Wood himself was a great calf roping and team roping horse. Wily Wood Bob, by Wily Frosty Wood, placed at multiple college rodeos in the Rocky Mountain Region in barrel racing and he also made a great head horse. TR Frosty Doublecash, by Wily Frosty Wood, was a Equi-stat money earner, 1D winner, and Pro Rodeo money earner in barrel racing.
Wily Frosty Wood’s dam, PC Kimber Frost, was one of the best broodmares out of the Cowan Bros. program. She produced 1D/WPRA money earner Shake Em Boon and a 2015 gray gelding, Just Shake Em, who has clocked 1D times as a 4 year old.
Sun Frost, the sire of PC Kimber Frost, has over 3.5 million in progeny earnings and over 14 million in progeny/grand progeny earnings. This includes French Flash Hawk or “Bozo”, by Sunfrost, that was a ’94, ’96, ’97, and ’98 WPRA World Champion Barrel Horse and AQHA/PRCA Horse of the Year. Sun Frost was also the sire of Frenchmans Guy, PC Frenchmans Hayday, Mr Docs Dakota, PC Cline Frost, PC Frenchmans, PC Mr Sun Peppy, and PC Sun Socks.
Wily Frosty Wood’s sire, Wilywood, was bred and raised by Stanley Johnston and then eventually owned by Tom Eliason. Of Wilywood’s 299 offspring, 28 AQHA performers earned 722.5 points, 13 performance Registers of Merit and six performance awards. His offspring have also collected American Buckskin Registry Association honors and captured rodeo headlines.
